This picture certainly does tell a very sad story in the way we are totally destroying our planet. It's a scene of destruction for want of a better word. I wish you very good luck in the competition.

An excellent shot that shows the impact of the refineries. It is hard to believe that the product can be worth the process. Great colors and excellent cropping.

wow, they are really killing the planet
still, the panoramic format and the small show with the black and without details bottom part takes from the initial impact
thanks for sharing

I cannot imagine going through something like this.
Your photo makes me think of old WWII movies I have watched. It certainly elicits feelings of dread.
Don't really know what to say except that you did a fine job capturing this awful event.
Good luck in the contest.

This certainly is a terrible sight to see. The pollution being put out is astonishing. This is a great capture of what some industries are doing to pollute. The way the black smoke obscures the pink sky is a powerful statement. Well done. Good fortune in the contest.

Yes, I agree it does look horrible and anti-nature but your photo is interesting nevertheless! Are you sure they are oil-refineries out there? Two in the same vicinity? Your shot is well composed in a traditional style and contains plenty of drama! I do feel it could benefit from a little banding reduction and noise reduction. Otherwise, well done!
