you make such fine pictures. this subject is really suiting your special talents. great in the way you have constructed this one and the emotion you have almost pulled out of the process. the development and the focal interest is both natural and hyper realistic. good luck in finding out the name. as you know i'm pretty useless in the flower dept.

What I am most fascinated by is the textures, sparkle & shine of the pistils and stamens.

Wow! This appears to be a Tree Peony....and a stunning digital art! I think the name might be Itoh Peony. You have captured the stamens beautifully and the crape like details are incredible. This looks like a well detailed oil or acrylic. I love the light and shadows that you created in the petals of the flower. They give good depth to the throat of the flower. The stamen and pollen pods are perfect.

What a lovely job you did creating this. I Love all the details in the petals. Not only does the detail create the different tones of the flower, but it lets you see the texture of the petal.You can almost feel the petal in your hands. You created such a delicate flower with the subtle tones you used. Love the soft curves of the petal too. Wish I could help you with the name, but I don't know! Hope you find out! i don't know much about digital art and have never tried it myself but there are certainly a number of submissions on this site that are really standing out for me and this is one of them. The softness of your composition really engages the eye and as does your structure ..good luck in the contest

This really is a beautiful digital painting. I am glad you brought it back for those of us who missed it the first time...especially during this season of Peony bushes in many of our gardens.
You have the colors exactly right. I have been discovering the many different varieties of peonies. But I have seen this pink many times. Your textures in the petals and the stamen are nicely rendered. Your shadows are gentle. And your light has created that sheer paper like character of the Peony perfectly. The shade of green in the leaves is exact. That little splash of light is magical. Lets me imagine another flower or bud in the background. A beautiful work...as always, Cleo. Thank you again for reviving this. It is surely a framer.
