This is lovely, Cleo - hard to tell that it's a digital painting, it looks just like a traditional art piece. I love the colours you used for this and the way you placed the flowers on the canvas, showing the intricate markings of the petals and flower centre. Very imaginative composition. This is lovely, Cleo - hard to tell that it's a digital painting, it looks just like a traditional art piece. I love the colours you used for this and the way you placed the flowers on the canvas, showing the intricate markings of the petals and flower centre. Very imaginative composition. This looks like a traditional art piece--very good!! I was, at first, looking for a lady--thought it was the white filmy colors on the upper left side :P I don't know the type of flower but you really make it look realistic. Good luck in the contest!

Anytime. What if there is only one choice in a contest--that is kind of silly they should have cancelled it or something. Mine is the only one and I'm embarrassed now lol
I don't want to win that way--okay done --plus mine is stupid looking I just entered cause I thought it is fun!

Do not be embrassed!
Maybe there were not many entries in your contest, but surely more than one. The other entries must have been disqualified. Contests with only one entry usually got postponed to a later date. If this does not work the contest get cancelled.

Thank you very much for your honest review and your input. The painting might have looked more intriguing with a brighter pink, but the thought did not occure to me since I used the natural colors of the flower. It is impossible to change the colors now, because the painting is finished. I would have to start over and paint another picture.

I think you are right Cleo, because I have seen Peonies like this. They are truly beautiful, and you for sure have given it credit with this lovely digital painting. The colors are just fantastic, because it is nothing much that beat the combination of pin against green foliage.
This is also done paying really good attention to details, and the shadings in the petals are lovely. Had this been a photo I would have said that the stamens are standing out in the most excellent way. The glitter sprinkles for sure has worked wonders.
I also think the composition is strong with the tight framing and the perfect placement of the bloom within the frame. This is indeed a beautiful and well crafted painting, and with a strong visual impact.

I think this is a very good painting. I like the way you kept the yellow looking so rich against the lavender color. You have excellent form in your petals, green leaves look great. Detail in center of flower and shadows are beautifully done. Great job
