Thank you for your time and critique of my photo it is very much appreciated. The complimentary color scheme is really nice and the cooler colors in the negative space push the flower's warmers color scheme, the flowers shapes, towards the viewer. I am pleased you like the color scheme within the photo and the presentation.

The poppy is very pretty. My problem is it looks so flat with the color being so "the same." A suggestion would be to brighten up the center of the poppy with your dodge tool. I think it needs a bit more definition as well. Using your clarity or contrast would have helped there. These are just suggestions. I like the framing and background. I'm trying to be helpful. Please take it in that spirit.

I hope you will take my reply in the same spirit you wanted me to take your review, which by the way I do.
However,
What you are suggesting would be a violation of the contests rules. No editing allowed. All I did was a little crop which is allowed. I think you are incorrect, the image/photo has good range of color variation, nice complimentary color range between the warm colors of the poppy and cool colors in the background, The negative space pushes the flower towards the viewer.
