recently I commented that I was a bit worried as all my paintings seem now adays no longer to be beautiful, I am painting the nitty gritty of people and things, and am not sure that is a good thing- but maybe it comes with age and pressure from above? I like this because you have looked at a star and made him human again, a sort of reversal process. Really amazing portrait.

Wow I can still see the good looking young man. I like the softness of his hair. Poor beautiful man needs a little softness. Was friends with his niece. Never met him but seen some family photos. Really a awesome job Raoul!

Before Dirty Harry, before the spaghetti westerns, there was "Rawhide". A western tale of cattle drives and the men who....
oh, never mind. There was a very young Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates, ramrod of the herd.
I like your drawing very much. Not the least because you show maturity as it is, not as some people would like it to be. Mr. Eastwood did not receive the credit he deserved until well into his career. I too am a fan.

I think you caught him perfectly. I am a huge fan, too. I think "Outlaw Josey Wales" is my favorite. Didn't care for Sondra Locke, but he and the Chief were great.

Excellent likeness. Well done. Cyber 6.

This piece holds so much hidden emotion and pain, as well as beauty in age. I love the many details in the face, especially the eyes and mouth. The detail is truly amazing. My only complaint in this piece is that it seems as though the face is so much more detailed than the shirt, which is a little distracting from the emphasis on the face. I love that the background isn't simply white but that it has a few smudges to show a more realistic setting. Very well done!

Wow. What an excellent work of art Raoul. The deep lines in the face are so classic of him now. Such a difference from when he was on "Rawhide" and in all the Western Movies where his skin was so smooth. He is one of my favorite actors. You have done a fabulous job in capturing the essence of the man as he appears now. Congratulations for a great work of art Raoul ~ Steve
