I feel the same too!
An impressive portraiture with a slightly exaggerated countenance.
The deep set eyes.
The steely aristocratic gaze.
Fine features & textures.
An impressive artwork rendition. B&w creation with excellent strokes & textures. Good compositional style. Great overall impact! Thanks for sharing... Best of luck in the contest! Impressive entry. Potential voters choice...

Views on this drawing, you mean? No more than that it was a painstaking pleasure to draw thanks to the wrinkles! :)

Fantastic rendition on Clint Eastwood! Love texture of his face. Hair is subtle. Emotion is well told. Simple background is perfect to let Clint as the story to tell.

Well done and thanks for sharing.

Thanks Joel. I am glad you mentioned the background as I debated whether to add some shading to it but decided to leave all the shades to Clint :) R

Life really is unfair, it seems the older men get the better looking they get ex. Clint, Brad, James Caviezel, Aden Young etc...hmmm maybe Russel Crowe fails miserably, have you seen him lately...a humongous tub of lard...ick.

Even in your art with his withered lips and scowl he looks sexy in a menacing sort of way.

As far as your drawing goes I do like the intense smudging on face to show age and shadow...in photography that would be called grundging up a photo. The details on his fine flyaway hair are realistic and the shadows are harsh but that is for a reason and punches out the character of face.

The camouflage shirt adds further ruggedness and depth. Depth is also achieved through using good tonal ranges and you are very adept at that.

Composed in portrait orientation we can engage easily with Clint and his personality.

I enjoy finding your posts.

big smile....that is why I'm not promoting my "great photograph, wonderful focus, thank you so much for sharing" photographs....am so weary of 10 word wonder reviews and the solipsistic aggrandizement of a few.

Great pencil work with excellent chiaroscuro techniques throughout the image... There is a real depth to his character through the tonal application not that dissimilar to clints actual character in alot of his great movies. There's a beautiful structure to this piece and wish you luck ð??? for the contest
