Nice photo, well composed, good bokeh, good colors, good exposure, I am not sure how you took it, with a regular lens or a macro but you are a bit off on focus and that could be because of your F stop, the focal point seems to be the underside of the left wing, might be wrong, good luck with the contest

What a great nice wonderful lovely shot.Beautiful nice nature scene.Presentation is great.Lovely butterfly,face eyes action,artistic design color wings and body,flower and green b/g are gorgeous great and make a nice scene.Light and color balance are great.I like this talent perfect work.Focus color and all are excellent.Great job.Well Done.Thanks.

A nicely composed shot with excellent sharp focus on the eye. The forward wing is quite soft and your limited depth of field is evident in the flower. Best of luck in the contest.

Nicely composed with a limited but nice color palette. The soft muted background with the nuances of color is nice. As everything has to have some negative, will say that in this case, the white flowers would be better slightly toned down. Properly placed focus and assume that the sharpness is great but on FAR, who knows.

Shelly this is divine. It is a SOOC image and I take my hat off to you for getting it so right.

On the large upload your butterfly is soft and not in focus and that could be FARt's problem and not yours. This is a constant problem with this site and has been addressed to Tom who disregards our complaints.

The smaller thumbnail is sharp , at least it looks sharper on the face.

The colour palette is very natural and the dof you used (I do wish you had put up camera specs so we could learn from you) is perfect, I'm going to guess....2.8? What lens were you using? 50 mm?

The compositional style, which you had to do in camera, has been thought out and is artistic in rendition.

I know how difficult it is to get that "perfect" butterfly shot as I shoot them too. You have done very well and you so deserve full marks on this piece.

I was using a 70-200mm f2.8 lens. I was quite excited with this shot, as well. I had focused on the face. As you know, the DOF is very shallow at 2.8. Thanks so much for the awesome review!
