This is a scene out of a good book. Stunning. Your perspective, dramatic shadows , redeeming light and your sundown hue revealing the textures and depth of the scene. Just gorgeous. It sounds like an amazing place to visit. What is that peak in the sunset?

somber and inviting is how I call this shot Annie.
Your tonal value equals the sepiatone that one usually has to do post processing. You seemed to have captured it au natural which I really like.
Your clarity homing in on the graves is fantastic and lets us see what a remarkable place this is. Someone cared enough to let their loved ones lie in peace.
Beautiful Annie.

truly a lovely piece Annie

I truly love the colors in this piece. The sepia tones lend themselves to the aged atmosphere as portrayed by the elements in this photo. The lighting is spectacular. I always enjoy your work

I just love how the light is Majestically shining down on the stones/ monuments in the graveyard.
The tree trunk and branch frame out your shot naturally.
I like the vintage feel and the emotive pull of this.
Well done Cara!

thank you. :-)

This photo is very atmospheric with its golden amber shades of sunlight, the med gray shades of building, and dark almost black of the tree trunks. All of which frame and direct the eye to the off center lighter tomb structure with its delicate white crosses. Thanks for sharing this most original photo.

nice chiaroscuro techniques used in this image ..absolutley love the light that falls on the tombstones and it appears to have been framed by the large tree trunks that have a great darkness to them and shape that presents eerie feel. It a beautiful composition with some fabulous colouring

This is an unusual picture in my opinion. I awakens some contradicting emotion in the viewer. There is so much shown in it which can be interpreted in very different ways. Perhaps a interpretation of faith. For me it is a capture of freedom and tranquility. A picture of hope and knowing that life goes on earth, wherever we end up when we leave this planet. Oblivion, Heaven or blown to particles so small we cannot imagine, electrons which will be part of nature again.
I think it the warm light, the sepia tones and tranquillity which gives the viewer this feel of freedom.
Technically it is perfect. The effects are smoothly applied so that it looks more like an old photo then a modern mixed media.

Sorry, once again I apologize for being late.
The work always piles up. I feel indeed like Alice's white rabbit: Never on time anymore.

Quite an intriguing shot posted here. The tree on the right creates a dramatic composition! Like how the grave is sharper than the rest. Well done!

seems an out of the way graveyard and not full,i like the pastel quality in this and the way the light picks out the gravestones, can,t see why there are not any other ones there as usually graveyards are mostly full, but nice photo...brian
