Lovely digital painting, Cleo, of this beautiful white Cockatoo perched on the branch. Love the limited colour palette you used for this. I like the pose you chose for the Cockatoo with his wings outstretched and the soft background works very well. Lovely composition. Suzanne

This is wonderful in haze-like cover. Love the soft effect. Distant in the BG, really makes the focus on bird. Lovely in details, action, landscape and colors are so nice for me. Thanks!

A literally cool creation!
Dramatic presentation of this gorgeous avian subject against a cool waterfall mist.
It's nice to know that it can be also found in the Philippines though I have not seen it flying over our skies or in the jungle.
A well thought out rendition with meticulous attention to details.
Great compositional style with smooth, neat strokes.
Subtle illumination.
Impressive off centered framing.

What really enjoy just as much is the wonderful look, feel of South East Asia in background. Waterfalls cascading into gorge through hard granite and then offset by soft Eucalyptus trees in background: Simply Beautiful. Everything Technically perfect as can get for us immortals-LOL. This is a beautiful painting of a white Cockatoo Cleo, but it is the dreamy like background doing this picture more than anything. It is so lovely with the softness and the perfect color pallet, and the bird is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The brush strokes of the background have such a nice flow, and the bird is done paying such good attention to details. You have also used high lights on the bird in an excellent way, and I like that you have painted it with the wings lifted ready to fly. Or perhaps it has just landed ?
The composition is strong with a good framing and with the placement of the bird off to the right. This is indeed a lovely and well crafted digital painting, and I fell in love with it straight away.

The cockatoo is just landing, or so I thought, but it could be a start as well. Sometimes my subjects seem to have their own mind what they are doing. :o)

I have no clue how you created that gorgeous foggy mist in the background and managed to create movement in the silky flow of the waterfall. However you did it, it's incredible Cleo.
Love the textures on the bird, his pose with wings up and spread and the fine details on his feathers.

Thank you very much for your truly encouraging review. The creation of that foggy mist was indeed the most challenging on this painting. It is frosting applied with small brushes. I haven't counted time, but I was working on and of for many days on the background. :0)
