Beautiful work Cleo! I find the background scenery just as beautiful and interesting as the bird. You clearly put a lot of effort and time into both. I love it!

William Turner. I used to have a couple of his prints. The one with two cockatoos, and I can't remember what the other one was. I have to say I like your version of the single cockatoo better. Gorgeous background, Cleo. The overall misty feeling is fabulous. I notice that you don't mention how you did this, so I'm wondering if it's something other than 2D? Regardless, it's awesome!!

Thank you for your special review. Yes, it is influenced by William Turner, but I did not try to copy him. Just playing with the style.
It poor 2D including the background.
First I painted the background and than used different frosting's. I applied the frosting's with different brush sizes, but not everywhere the same amount to archive the different density of the mist.
You might have overlooked it because I mentioned it only in the rubric how the work was created.

That is really odd, lol. The only thing I'm seeing is the Wikipedia writeup regarding cockatoos. I thought it strange because you always post how you create something. The only other thing is "Type" which says Nature digital art and the date posted. Maybe you need to clue me in as to what a rubric is, LOL. You did a beautiful job with the Turner influence. His work is the first thing that came to mind when I saw it. The background sets it off perfectly! :))

Thank you again. I need to check on this again. Maybe something got missing of my write up when I corrected a spelling mistake, but I did not realize it.

Beautiful! I love the movement and action of this work. The background is just outstanding and works so well with your focus of the bird. Great work on the feathers and expression. well done!

I like what you did with this, nice colours of the bird, looks like he just landed on this branch,,a pretty bird in his natural habitat, love the white vignette you added, it really makes us just look at the bird first,
