Very creative approach and your watercolour turned out so very well. Enjoy how the random flow gave opportunities for so many individual flowers, amazing! This is the winner in my book and good luck

What a fun technique! The result is beautiful. I love the different shades of coral. The outlining is beautifully done and is a nice contrast to the Flowing watercolors. Nicely done!

Cool! : )
It certainly turned out to be an interesting and enjoyable creation,my friend!
What did the grains of salt add to it? ( I seldom paint anymore but I'm always interested in new techniques and I'm unfamiliar with that one! : ) )

Thanks so much, Sean, for your great review. The grains of salt take out some of the colour and reveal random patterns - great to do as you never know what's going to appear! I use coarse grains of sea salt and also finer grains for different effects.

Great reds throughout for starters, which is a good entry for this competition!!! lovely detailed patterns and shapes painted beautifully to make up this mass of red floral beauty, with different colours and textures throughout interspersed with whites and greys that give depth and perspective. A lovely piece and best of luck!

Aptly captured for the contest theme...with 98.5% red!

Filled up framing with fine floral features & smooth textures.

Nice outlines interconnecting various blooms, shapes & sizes.

Impressive entry. Potential voters choice... Best of luck in the contest!

Thanks for sharing...

This is a nice watercolor. I like how you highlighted it in ink. It is a good entry for the red contest. There are many different tones of red in it. Good luck.

This is a very interesting and unusual technique. I think the sprinkling of salt probably was unevenly which created the shades of dark red, pink and the almost white spots. The small areas of dark color are well set to emphasize the flowers. That all flowers are red is intriguing. The created shades are especial interesting. Interesting also that the flowers seem not randomly, because the shading of the petals looks very natural.
