That's an interesting picture of this small Chelonian creature,my friend!
He does appear to be getting mildly dessicated as he struggles to clear the obstacle that this tiny waterfall presents him with!

A very nicely composed shot with great colors. He has been sitting in this location for a while judging from how dry his shell is. I like the little waterfall and the sharp details throughout the image. Best of luck in the contest.

What I find truly wonderful about this shot, aside from the subject himself, is the way all the colors work together in harmony. Nature has a way of being beautiful, without even trying. Your turtle seems content in his state. Wonderful clarity, and the shadows add depth.
