Sunset moments reflecting friends on a lake

A wonderful and beautifully colourful and vivid painting of these friends out for a casual canoe on the lake, their silhouettes drawn accurately and neatly with the boat and giving a sense of calm and serenity. The most wonderful sunset has been painted here, almost photogenic - with the vivid orange and bright red sky criss crossed with wisps of cloud beautifully, and reflecting perfectly in the calm waters of the lake along with the trees and bushes that line the lake and are drawn with amazing accuracy and depth. A truly lovely piece and deserved winner of the competition, well done :)

What a magnificent work of art Cindy Sue. The vivid colors are fabulous. You choice of the silhouetted figures in the foreground is artistically brilliant. This is certainly one of your finer works and an excellent contest entry. Well done Cindy Sue ~ Steve

A nicely composed image with outstanding colors. I like the placement of the canoe as well as the birds in the sky. It has a real glow to it that is very eye catching. Best wishes in the contest.

Such drama, in a fiery red sunset. The flock of birds flying into eternity, and the sun winking a last good day, as it slips beneath the horizon, masterfully painted as a silhouette. The two souls, canoeing across the lake of fire, breathing in the glory of this majestic scene. Wonderful art.

This, my friend, is a work of art. I cannot believe what my eyes are beholding here. The beauty you portray is totally magnificent. To think for one minute that this isn't a photograph, is ludicrous. I suspect that you found your calling when you found art. Best of luck to you my friend. This is a no-brainer.

This is the most brilliant sunset I have ever seen. The gold/yellow /orange are not harsh in any way. Lots of texture and depth of field. Even the smallest detail is amazing. A sure winner.

Oh me oh my, THANK YOU so very much for the SoulSet SunSet review. You totally made my day. Oranges and yellows are not my favs but my friend wanted these colors. I am more a purple/pink gal. I did have a tree at the far left. Just tiny branches now for my friend decided to crop my gift to a weird size. Ha ha, oh how she regretted it when looking for a frame. But thank you ever so much for your spirit lifting review. Don't get many 6 ers but when I do YAHOOO! Blessings to you Always Anita :-).

Thank you for your review. I enjoy watercolor but don't have much time. This was given as a gift and my friend hack the tree out. That's why there is scant branches on the left. Grrrrrr! Blessings Always to you Dick, ~ Cindy Sue ~
