Atta girl Gracie Lu! I do appreciate when one gets white balance correct on a white subject in the bright sun PROVING that there are ZERO excuses for not getting it in camera.
Love the placement of this lovely Lily off to the left. Fine focus and Beautiful water reflection.
I know you like the wispy fuzzy on the right but I am tempted to clone it out.
Oh no...we actually are not the same on this issue! Yee gads!

Absolutely an awesome shot! You capture all the detail in the flower as well as the reflection! I like that your subject of off centered to the left to give it ...a home. I can't think of the word I want. You could have cropped it tight, but the background gives it a place.

The lily and lotus have a few differences. The leaves and flowers of a lotus rise above the water level (up to four feet) and the lily leaves and flowers sit more flat on the surface of the water. The stamens of the two flowers are different as well.

Oh wow. What a dynamic photo Grace. I agree about the suns' illumination makes this a magical scene. The tiny bubbles on the surface under the leaves is so cool. The reflection is so well done. Great entry for the contest. Best of luck Grace ~ Steve

Oh my ....this is beautiful! Your good camera techniques are at work here with a good perspective. Your framing is good and good placement of the water lily in your scene. Your dark background accentuates your photography beautifully. A gorgeous reflection and nice movement in your scene. Your focus is spot on with good lighting and incredible details on your flower and lily pads. This is an excellent entry into the Flower Photo contest and a good contender. Good luck.
