Michele, a beautiful repost. You picked up the beauty of the Rainbow Laurakeet as it enjoys a tasty morsel. This bird would win Red Rover hands down or should I say claws down. Very nice presentation. Ray

Thank you so much Ray. This is one of my favorite photographs as I caught it purely by accident, not a set up shot.

What a great display of colors. You did well with your angle showing its eye that seems so excited with the meal. Clarity of textures.
A exotic sight.

What one beautiful bird. It is gorgeous and your capture of it fortunate and very skilled. The colors in it are amazing. You did well with the background also. What is the difference between a wild and domesticated Rainbow Laurakeet? Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for your nice review. I am not aware of a domesticated lorikeet. This one was wild though in the botanical garden in Sydney Australia.

IN 2000, we visited the Sidney Harbor and went to the zoo. My guess this is another location but I wished I had known about this location. He is gorgeous and appears to just s bit shy. The colors are vibrant, and focus is sharp. I like the tight crop to give us a better look at him. The foliage helps pop his colors perfectly.
