WOW....confinement (yes I can feel that through your painting) and relief...to perhaps know that you can once again return to the outdoors no longer being confined inside something dark and onimous....claustrophobic type of atmosphere where one cannot breath having the feeling of being choked wanting a release but seems like it is taking forever to get that release....that freedom of no longer being confined in something you wanted to see but one there wishing it was all over and not being able to concentrate any longer at the beauty of your surroundings but just wanting to literally get the hell out of there. The green knife strokes surrounding the light does bring it out especially with the darkened path leading up the to light which is to be entered by all who have taken that path to get there. Excellent color palette. Excellent painting technique. Excellent story telling capabilities. Wishing you the best at the voting booth. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much. You just described almost perfectly what was going on in my mind and chest. I am glad that this painting could connect with someone on this emotional level. Some memories just never leave you. I walked through this tube in July, 1991. I did the painting in 2011. You are also a very good writer.

Beautiful. I have been to caves so can visualise. Like the colour combinations inside the cave. The strong light at the end of the tunnel and reflection of it inside the cave has been done beautifully. Thank you for sharing.

First of all the use of the pallet knife is beyond impressive to me as a beginner artist, I love seeing these paintings with abstract views that have so much movement in them, I want to be able to paint my views as well as you do with yours. Beautiful work of art.

There is always a comfort level felt when light is spotted at the end of the tunnel. It is the "I am not lost" feeling. I have felt it a few times.
