Fascinating SG!! I've been meaning to come and comment on this piece since I first saw it several days ago.
Thank you sooo much for your notes. This guy is definitely not something I was familiar with and I would have been so disappointed to not have notes about it so I am REALLY glad it was YOUR piece.
Wonderful colors....those rich green leaves and yellow Moth make quite a statement color-wise. Nicely cropped and well exposed. Your Moth however SG is not so crisply presented....hmnnn...unusual for you, yes? It almost looks as if focus was more on the foliage and the little buds behind his right wing....those things are crisply sharp. Normally I would make a small deduction but for the thoroughness of your notes and for satisfying my curiosity about this exotic guy I'm not going to but sshhhh don't tell anybody...lol

What interesting artist's notes....not being able to fee d and living only 4 to 5 days...sometimes I wonder why God created such a creature of beauty just to take it away from us less than a week later.
You have captured it most perfectly. It looks like a ballerina dancing with her feet like all ballerinas on the tip of her tippee toes. Most breathtaking a creature. Then taking a look closer in the center pf his back it could almost pass for a lions face....fierce and powerful. Really exceptional photo...perfect for this contest. Thanks for sharing. Wishing you all the best at the voting booth.

This is a lovely close-up shot of the comet moth! You have framed it well. The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good luck!

an unusual striking moth that I have not come across to be honest . Its unfortunate that the image is slightly blurred and lacks a real sharp definition but it does not tae away from the beauty of such a creature.

Beautiful moth species.
I have never seen one like this before. Beautiful bright color and interesting markings. Nicely centered.
Love how the color pops against the natural green
background. Very nice.Best of luck in the contest.

A beautiful & very eye catching tropical moth the Comet Argema mittrei after emerging from it's cocoon that it's still clinging to as it's wings dry out completely showing us their golden colour & the "eyes" to warn off birds & lizards who might like to make a meal of it. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
GOOD LUCK IN THE CONTEST>
