A great shot! We don't always see birds sitting still as though posing for a photograph! The yellow stands out well. The red beak is well-defined, also. Nice!

Perfect title! This is definitely cute and very yellow! LOL! Love it! This is an ingenious entry for this contest.
Your clarity is excellent on the eye...the most important spot for a bird photo...as we are told anyway! Framing is good...showing his habitat and his perch. He seems to be enjoying posing for you. Best of luck in the contest! And thank you for sharing!

I would recommend taking down that glare white band a notch...use your shadow/highlights lever and mask.
It is sharp as a beak and you did a great job. Have you considered a bit of a gradient into the 4 corners perhaps at 10 - 20%?

A funny and unusual shot of this podgy and cheeky looking budgie/canary(?), shot with great clarity and it good lighting, capturing the bird in great detail showing the neat detail in the custard yellow down and striking yellow head and red beak. It reminds me of a little bald old man perhaps, setting the world to rights in the pub or at the local shop. Captured at a good angle perched on it's log with good DOF showing the bars of the cage it knows as home, and giving good perspective. A great shot and best of luck in the competition! :)
