OK, now this is absolutely GORGEOUS. Love the combination in the colors.
Its just so interesting to look at. You found a wonderful specimen in this one. Is your title the true name of the flower? Would it be OK to draw this when I have time?

    Thank you so much for your kind and generous review on this one, it's much appreciated!! I went for an unusual "vertically framed & shot from above" shot which luckily turned out OK. Yes believe it or not thaat is the real name! wonderful eh? of course you can draw it no problem! I'll email the picture to you directly if you want to message me an email address to send it to.

It does, not only that, it really balances your photo cause pink is all over the photo now. Love the colors. Did you get to witness them dancing? :P

    Thank you so much for your kind and generous review, it's much appreciated as always! Glad you like the addition in the corner, some have thought it not a good choice - no they only dance when alone apparently, a very shy flower is this one ;)

Excellent choice of subject in Diminishing perspective.
Yes, the florets on that bottom left corner gives us great depth in vanishing viewpoint.

Vivid colors against a dark foliage backdrop.
Tall format works well here.

Nice perspective & narrow DOF.
Thanks for sharing...

Nice shot! I love the black and red contrast. I have to tell black and dahlia always bring up slightly weird memories for us Californians. A starlet was killed and dismembered in Hollywood and became known as the "Black Dahlia" murder. Google it and yee shall find.
I like the composition and lighting. It has a rather expressive/painterly feel to it which is pretty cool!

    Thank you so much for your kind and generous review, it's much appreciated as always! Yes I know about the "Black Dahlia" murder - never solved - I read a book about it a few years ago, very gruesome. But thanks again! :)

Quite a nice nature shot presented here! Like your tiered composition. Exposure and sharpness are fine. I do agree that the blooms in the bottom corner do add an element of depth. Nicely done!

Nice job on this flower photograph. I like the way you gave it some extra vertical length. It works for it. The muted gray background makes the subject pop. The tiny cluster of pink flowers in the bottom left push your eye back up to the subject.

This is a lovely shot of the flowers! You have framed it well. The light and shadows, colour and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

first of all, an excellent and very unusual vertical framing with the largest dahlia poping at the top;; good idea to keep the tiny flowers at the bottom, giving an indication of scale;
a tad soft but acceptable focus;
