Nothing more beautiful than white flowers in the evening.....they become even more bright and are a light in the darkness. Your framing is good and photo well composed. I like the delicate details captured with those beautiful white petals and yellow stamens. A good perspective and excellent camera techniques. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing

This is such a unique Cosmos.. I don't recall having one like this in my garden..ever. That tubular petal is a bit 'meatier' than the normal flat petals. And the pinking sheared edges make this feel like each of those petals is another flower that will open. Really, really interesting. And beautiful!
Do you gather the seeds for the spring or purchase a package or four or five...? They are an annual here as well...
I hope you are still enjoying your amazing gardens. We are having a very, very dry period. Wondering if there will even be any beautiful fall colors on the trees.

I save all my own seeds but always supplement them w/ a few purchased packets Becky. I have a large bed of COSMOS and this season even added a few near the LIGULARIA for color. These tubular ones ARE so unique....definitely going to plant them again next season.
My gardens only have another 3 or 4 weeks before the big cut down.....I always dread the first few days after that....things look so bare so yes, I am spending as much time as I can out there now.....even picking only the Blackberries that grow NEAR the gardens...lol....I am a die-hard!
