Great scene. I have seen places like this in Idaho and Wyoming. I love the Rockies and having grown up in the mountains I can almost smell that familiar scent of the evergreens and feel the breeze on my face. This is my kind of country. Nice contrast of rocks, trees and sky. A great entry for the contest Barbara ~ Steve

Beautiful Capture and fine entry for this contest Barbara.
Your focus is sharp, white balance Controlled and your POV offers a lovely view of the landscape and superb blue sky with chalky white clouds.

A lovely, fresh and bright look at this snapshot of the landscape that you were lucky enough to be exploring, with beautiful blue skies above with wisps of cloud, and rich green trees scattered amongst the rocky and dry terrain, giving a sense of the heat this area must experience (it looks like a hot day in this shot!), and how the plants adapt. Great long DOF and POV, showing a good section of the gradient you have captured so well - great shot and best of luck in the competition! :)

I love Evergreen. I want to retire there. This photo captures the beauty of the rocky terrain. The pines lead your eye into the scene and provide good depth.
