A wonderful capture of this black crowned night heron, one I've never seen before that looks quite unusual and not like the usual herons I'm used to seeing! The clarity is superb and captures the shape, face and feathers and down in excellent detail, with great lighting too which captures the tones of grey and cream colours very clearly as well. The eye is fantastic, looking right at you, bright red and with a telling look. The DOF is good and captures the blurred green foliage in the background well, accentuating the features even further - cropped neatly and perched perfectly on this curved branch - a wonderful shot, well done :)
