A very nicely composed shot. I like the way you included the people in the vehicle. It makes the story really obvious. The defiant elephant, with his ears flared out, is perfect.

You would just not hang around would you ! But what fantastic beasts the elephant is especially the African elephant.I like your composition maintaining the people in the shot...it gives the viewer the sense of size and perhaps fear too

Fred,
A beautiful picture of this large bull Elephant standing his ground ears outspread the sun coming from behind so his shadow is on the grouns infont of both him & your transport (I'm assuming the two men who's head we can see were on the Landrover & not on their feet facing him? beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

An interesting and unusual shot here of this tense and potentially dangerous situation; quick thinking is obviously needed when you have this decision to make with the land's largest mammal. Shot from a great perspective, with good lighting capturing the bull elephant ready to charge with the gamekeepers captured well in high alert mode. This is heavy duty holiday photography Fred - amazing shots and images from these situations, great work. :)

What a great behind the scenes shot here. I has all the drama of one realizing that the Big Guy is calling the shots here and the little guys are no match. The short depth of field adds to the impact of the scene. Well done Fred ~ Steve
