Your Love -in- a- mist is gorgeous and enjoy the Olive Green pistils, stamens and that Purple is just out of this world. Enjoy the Ivory white petals along with wispy foliage. Flower in it's entirety reminds me of a jellyfish though don't think it wants to hear that. Have to be careful what you say around them you know. Very well done and Thank You for sharing.

A beautiful image that shows the delicacy of the blossom perfectly. The colors are rich but not over saturated and they look great against the dark of the background.

One of my favorites to photograph at night MM....it calms down the white petals yet allows me to get the seed head and colored throat so nicely. Always happy to find review from you so thank you so much for the fine review you've given this guy. I do appreciate it.

Not only is this one of my favorite reseeding flowers...but your photo is one of the most beautiful I have seen. It truly appears to be in a mist. And yet your colors are much deeper and richer than if photographed in surrounding daylight. You have even picked up that slight tipping of purple on the skirt. I would love to see all three of your colors. I have some seeds from Mary from the blue variety for next year. Do you gather your seeds and spread them?

Your framing is perfect..just fitting in the elaborate seed head. And that spiky foliage is so delightful. It does make a bed of these seem as if they are floating on a layer of mist.

Your details are just enough with this beautiful bloom . You have chosen well with your camera and with your lighting and framing. Your composition is a definite framer. How beautiful a gallery wall would be with medley of your flower photos. Thanks for sharing Deb. It is always a pleasure to view your work.

Such a wonderful gardener's eye Becky! You picked up on the slight tinge of color at the tips of some of those petals. I think there's a photo of one of my pink NIGELLAS in my portfolio from shortly after I joined FAR but I have some really beautiful images of purple ones...blue ones and the other white ones w/ different colored throats I'll be posting. I tried gathering the seeds (I do w/ all my flowers) but the ones from the NIGELLA didn't do as well as I expected so I've settled for buying starts each spring....then I'm SURE to have these guys in my gardens.

So pleased this morning Becky to find this really lovely review from you....thank you so very much for your very kind words...and, of course for the gold star! You're a doll and I do so appreciate it.

Wow. This is a show stopper BB. The initial impact is over the top. Great lighting on this one. Is this a flashlight shot? Well made it to Playa del Carmen. Rained on arrival and is supposed to Rain every day this next week. Hmmm. It can't rain every day for a month so there will be plenty of time to get out and get some shots. Take care BB ~ BB

Yup BB....another one of my flashlight pieces so I'll bet you can imagine me standing there- flashlight between the knees- making my camera adjustments...lol Wasn't sure I'd be getting any reviews from you for the next few weeks so this is a treat! Thank you sooo much for taking the time to check it out and especially for the extra sparkle! You're a peach BB and I just KNOW it's going to stop raining there soon.....fingers crossed.

The effect you get with your night time shots is very magical and this amazing specimen of beauty borders on ethereal fantasy. It is the subdued lighting that does it and how you are able to capture wonderful nuances of color within it. Pinpoint details are not necessary for this to be artistic photography at its best. Superb, Deb.
