So this is what a tick looks like up close. I have had them on my body from my hikes in the woods but normally all I see is the bulb sticking out.

Like the detail on this image. Good capture.

Oh my God, Hope you didn't find this tick on you as he is full of something or somebody. Have picked them off of me like this years ago, little buggers! While fishing. No ill effects before lyme disease, if there was ever a time before lyme disease. Excellent closeup as you say of this horrible insect that causes so much life long illness. Thank You for sharing.
