Butterfly enjoying the Mexican Sunflower

Simple and amazing. I like the fact that you have kept the BG plain, and with the DOF that you have chosen, it makes this image. The flower and the butterfly are pin sharp, which is great. Have you thought about centring the image, so the space on the left and right are the same? Would be interesting to see if it improves the image. I think it will. Well done though :-)

No, this is completely UNEDITED, to comply with the rules of Traditional Photography Contest. NO EDITS ALLOWED. Centering is also a violation of the rule of thirds. Thanks, Mr.W. God bless your week.

Maybe not for the competition, but what about just to see what it will look like for yourself? Sometimes the rule of thirds just needs to be broken...

Yes, Indeed. You are so right. Yup, unedited, just for this competition. Where are you from?

A beautiful shot. The flower as well as the monarch are very sharp and they look great against this plain background. The colors are beautiful. Best of luck in the contest.

KISS principle!

Simply visually appealing!

No nuances whatsoever.
Monochromatic backdrop pops out the subject aesthetically!

Sharply focused Fine features & textures.
Subdued lighting...
Great letterbox framing!

Nice perspective & narrow DOF.
Best of luck at the poll booth!
Thanks for sharing...

thankyou so much, Dick for this extraordinary rating. You made me proud of this unedited image.

I like an unedited image because that only proves that the shutterbug is really great in capturing this raw photo!;-))
