What an excellent shot. It looks to be the Middle East. The deep shadows within the room, contrasted with the bright light filtering past the vased plant create the feeling of relief from the heat.

What a nice scene and a perfect entry for the contest. I think the way you captured the light and shadow shows a special talent and eye for the scene. The angle is such that you got the perfect balance of subject, light and shadow. The sharp angles add sense of drama to this scene. Very well done and all the best in the contest ~ Steve

This seems an unusual idea, but it works well. I like very much how the light fall onto the right side of the wall the shadow of the plant it painted at the windowsill. The light brings the textures of the window frame to attention. The interest is heightened because there seems to a small carving integrated. The plant shadow is intriguing. At first look I was thinking it should be cropped at the left, but I realize now that you want the change of the wall structure documented.
