How adorable! Love the way that you captured the smile on the baby's face. You can feel the love coming from the baby and whom ever the child is interacting with. Details are superb right down to the eyelashes. Great work and good luck in the contest.

Aw. What a heart warming face that touches the heart. This reminds me of my son when he was just discovering all the wonder and beauty of life and all that surrounded him. When I see a drawing like this, I need no name, because it is nobody else but you doing portraits like this so well. Baby Julian has the most lovely big smile, but what I like the best is that also the smile is showing in the eyes. You have captured just that so well.
I also like the nice neutral and a bit darkened background, and the fine shadings in Julian's T-shirt. You have also used high lights really well.
The format and framing is perfect, and the baby has got a very good placement on the paper. This is indeed a cute and well done drawing, and I am sure Julian's mother will love it. I wish you luck with the contest.
