Hi linda, I feel this actually deserves a six star rating, but I ran out lol. I do love the calm feeling this brings. The colors are wonderful.I really like the purple hills. The depth and composition really ads to the whole view. Just love It! 8-)

Linda, your pastels are really lovely here.
I absolutely love the three birds flying one read.
To me three is symbolic. The trinity, me and my two sisters, a lot of love in that.
Your colors are so inviting and this piece is splendid. Love it.

What a soothing scene Linda. I like how you used pastels to do this one. The foreground of browns with the grasses reaching into the lake scene sets a nice mood for the far bank and multi hued sky. The birds add a natural spiritual touch to this contemplative scene. Very well done Linda ~ Steve

I love working with pastels, this is great,,love the purple of the far banks, the wild grass really makes this, the added colours of the sky, the sea gulls really adds dimension here,,this is very pretty

A beautiful picture of the ducks flying over the lake as the sun is setting, the reeds along the shore in the foreground adding an extra bonus. Created with very skilful draftsmanship beautiful choice blending & application of your colours.

...and just really lovely blending of the pastels...especially in the sky and water but nicely done throughout the piece. The tall reeds left frame balance your three birds wonderfully. Nice work here.

Great inspiration. As a beach lover myself I can admire the colors and scene. Excellent use of the pastel medium. I am so attracted to the growing dune plants that the ocean in the background almost plays second fiddle to them. Wonderful sky colors and after just returning from the beach I can just hear the crash of the water and cry of the gulls. Great job.

I think this is a lovely pastel drawing showing a very special atmosphere. The sunset colors are beautiful, and I also like the rest if the color pallet you have used. I especially like the birds you have added because they add interest to the scene.
It is very nice textures to be seen, and I suppose this has to do with the paper you have used. It is at the same time a nice smoothness in the use of the pastels, and it is a good use of high lights.
The format and the framing is perfect, and the tall reeds on the left work as a nice balance to the birds in flight. I think this is a lovely and well done pastel drawing Linda.
