Wow! You have captured that rare beauty that only the poppy holds. Your evening photography has rendered a gorgeous shot and captured incredible details with that crepe paper texture that we all love about the poppy. Good advise....Should I plant seeds or a plant? Be on the lookout for your blackberry lily seeds.

Plant or starts....that's the way I usually go w/ perennials anyway Mary Lynn....and I'll let you know as soon as Lily seeds get here. You're a sweetie for sending them.....have a spot in a bed all picked out for them!

This one, sg had a run in w/ Comanche when it was very small....lol She stepped on several (very unlike her btw- she is usually much more careful when she's trotting through the flower beds w/ me) Always happy to have you check out one of my flowers....thank you so much for another fine review.

Your choice of the stark opaque background was an excellent one. It causes the poppy, in all of it's simple glory, to jump off the page. The drops of moisture gives the picture a freshness.

My favorite color; orange. The orange reminds me of Halloween. Good background that lets the flower stand out more. Great focus. The green stem compliments the flower. Like the highlighting on the bottom. Looks good enough to reach out and touch. Great pic. Take care.
