Lovely Sunrise Susan. You should have entered this beauty in the Sunset / Sunrise contest I think I like your composition and your use of the ambient lighting. Using the clouds to shield the sun worked and left a nice tranquil feeling to the image and reflections!

Oh man! You are making me so jealous with this! I need to make arrangements to visit my sister!
An utterly sublime and mystical shot of the fair isle.
I can see Avalon from here, that is for certain.
Dramatic lighting, great contrast and well frame shot.
In a word, stupendous!!

Beautiful sunrise image. Great clarity with an excellent DOF. The sky looks ominous and I like the horizontal framing. Nice POV with great visual impact. Well done. ~Alveria

Visually soothing feel good image...
Impressive capture!
Tranquility at its finest.

Soft silhouettes...
Sharply focused.
Subtle illumination.

Good perspective & long depth of field...
I'd consider cropping the slightly blown out sky to have an off centered horizon.
Kindly check the very, very slight tilt--though it doesn't matter that much...

Good perspective & long depth of field...

Thanks for sharing...

Totally jealous of where you were having breakfast. How cool is that to wake up and have breakfast to that beautiful scene that you have captured. The scene is moody, mysterious, beautiful and adventurous. What will this new day bring us today? Don't know...but sure willing to find out. Love the subtle golden highlights on the water. The dark brooding clouds above it...the way the inlet curves around works nicely in this composition. This is just lovely. Karen

So much beauty captured in your scene ....I like how this vast scene draws you into your photography. Your morning lighting is so beautiful with the the colors from the sunrise. Nice movement in your scene and you capture it under a really interesting morning sky. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing these wonderful scenes.

Well I have to admit that I am a sucker for these type of views. I just makes a person feel special somehow just to be alive and to see this kind of thing. Nice overlay of blue gray clouds on the left resting high enough to see the lighted sky while casting a shadow on the gentle sea below. Distant mountains divide the sea and sky in a manner that says that it is supposed to be that way. The little dark jetty hook on the lower right completes the gentle evening theme by grounding the photo giving a feeling that the viewer is standing on solid earth. Overall a tranquil scene. Reasons for my five vote.

A beautiful sight that brings to mind "The Tower" which is my favorite Yeats poem. I never knew it was so close to the sea. I like this composition and the great colors reflected on the water.

Mike,#Thanks a million for your great review on the sunriseing over Benbulben & Mullaghmore bay in Co. Silgo just 154 miles from my home in Dublin. NO where in Ireland is far from the sea in most places its less than 60 miles from the centre to the coast.
I was lucky yo get this picture the rain came down with half an hour but cleared up later.
