This is lovely, so far I think I like this one of the series best. Although it is a close contest with the dimming day one. Such pretty soft shades. I like the tall grasses on the left. A nice enjoyable series of art pieces.

Linda , it's a very cool piece .
You know what they say ' don't over work a painting ' I've done it !
Ive read give a piece of art , two days . don't touch it . Then decide .
Ok your piece here, more depth ?
The grass in the foreground , less detail as you go to the beach ?
Or just leave it .
It's your call your the boss ! It's a very fine piece of art ! Good Luck !

Thank you and I agree. Leaving it for a few days is always a good idea and I?m doing that.

I thought it needed more depth so I left it for a couple of days. I have posted the modified version and would love it if you take a glance and give me your opinion of the changes.

Another lovely piece for the book showing another lovely and mellow scene from this secluded and secret looking beach, leading down the light sandy path between the greenery of the foliage with a hint of yellow in the leaves, giving a nod to the turn in season perhaps. The grey/pink and slowly lapping sea tide rolls in casually, with the 2 seagulls above for good perspective. The well blended and well merged sunset sky above is wonderful, displaying an accurate mix of the purples and blues mixed up with the hazy clouds as it subtly meets the horizon in the middle. Lovely soft colours throughout and good POV - another lovely work ,well done :)

Hi Linda

This is a lovely fuzzy image of a beautiful scene. Looks like there is some fog hanging low as day turns to night. Lovely imagery as usual!R

I find this romantic! A beautiful rendering in soft pastels with excellent blending of the colours! . The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

'Really Cool',Linda!
I can't offer you anything in the way of 'suggestions' as I've never worked with pastels ( except for a few experiments many decades ago! ) but I'm really enjoying the soft Dreamy look that this scene gives off! : )
'Good Show',my friend!

Personally and honestly, I don't understand this. It is a beautiful painting but even I can't find meaning. Maybe you have a reason for painting this but, not to be harsh, as a twelve year old with a wild imagination. It seams kinda dull. I'm not going to not give you five stars because some people my like this. Good job.

Ha ha ha...I can see why it would be dull to you. I am trying to get accepted into the Pastel Society of America, a professional organization for artists who use my medium: pastels. In order to be accepted I have submit a series of paintings with a common theme that will be juried by a group of professional pastelists. If they determine that the quality of my work is good enough, I will be accepted as an associate member. It?s a difficult process and that is why I?m creating so many beach scenes. Thanks for your honesty and great rating. I appreciate it, especially since this is not your type of art.
