this is a very good pastel, the violets and greens work very well together. i would like to see some red in the foreground to give more depth, red is the closes toward the front.

Thanks. I?ll try that. I used the dark purple but I think the red will work better.

I love this, great composition with the reeds and tree at the front giving it good depth of field. Really captured ther lighting on the water.The soft pastels give it a beautiful atmospheric feeling.The birds flying in give the picture a good balance.

Very nice impressionistic rendering of the salt flats in Louisiana. I like the colours you used for this pastel creation and the feathery nature of the marsh grasses. Very good use of light and shade. Lovely composition. Suzanne

Very nice impressionistic rendering of the marsh at twilight. The horizon line is placed well in the composition. The glowing water leads your eye into the painting. The brush and in the lower corners and the tall tree anchor the scene in place. The soft pinks and purples harmonize well with the light green tones. This is a lovely painting you have created.
