This photo has my vote in the negative space contest. Since it wasn't the typical negative space contest, and after really looking at all the beautiful entries, I thought this had the most impressive pixelated interior. The rest of it also has incredible beauty and detail
With a remarkable archway I used to judge as the look through. Wonderful entry and best of luck in the contest.

Cool capture. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of the castle thru the archway door is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

I certainly remember the film but not this setting! Your nice composition gives us a very interesting look at your location. Sharpness and exposure are good. Well done and good luck!

Great shot and entry for the contest. The focus is sharp and the colors are well rendered. The details of the stones in the archway are nicely captured. The light on the other side of the archway is just right and not over exposed. Well done and best of the best in the contest ~ Steve

A beautiful picture of the Sicilian Church vied through the Gothic stone archway, the church bathed in warm sunshine under a clear blue sky. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Although quite like this and sort of photo I would look out for,rather than a typical tourist shot,think it would be more suited to my framework contest,as there is no negative space in this,still have to see how this is viewed overall...brian

thanks brian;
1. this was taken from a place off the way: no tourists there
2. it is indeed a wrong negative space as defined by Schatzling; I discussed this problem in the forum under
"who is responsible"; please have a look......

This is a wonderful shot of the fort. More so because you have captured the negative space well. Very apt for the contest. The colors, light and shadows and the composition have come out well. Good luck.!
