This is a very serene looking place that you have captured. It looks like a good place to go and read a book or to take a leisurely walk. The three rocks in the lower right lead your eye right to that tree. Where you stop and admire the surrounding beauty. Overall, this is a very pleasing photo as it has this calming effect. Nice work.

I envy you your woods. This is another splendid fall scene from this series of photographs. It makes the viewer want to walk among the trees and fallen leaves.

Hi Susan
What a golden autumnal vision. I think if I were to choose a place to draw my last breath, it would be somewhere like this with the scent of heaven in my nostrils! :) Thanks for sharing this heartwarming image. I'm sure it's far from warm there though! :) R

Raoul,
Thanks a million for your great review & the welcome SIX Star rating.
The weather has been very mild this week but is expected to turn POLAR over the week end.
Our winters though farther north than where you are are usually less frigid.

it could have been a good entry to my autumn in the forest contest;
very clever vertical framing to show how tall the trees are;nice ground color with sharp focus;
