The light is painting this flower wonderfully from the dark ultramarine to the light blue colors. The flower looks mature, and I can even smell the aroma so vivid and natural the composition represents the plant, great work, thanks for sharing

Looks a very interesting little flower I like the pin cushion center and the color is beautiful. Nicely composed filling the frame with good color and lighting.

The middle part and it's colors remind me of the swimmers that move in sync; the out purple/blue brings it all out; like the dark background; it's a pretty cheerful plant; good focus and lighting; the bright colors seem to give a big, "HELLO." LOL. Take care.

Excellent work Deb. Focus pulls your eye right to the center of this beautiful flower. Even a nice little bokeh. Strong work. Respectfully, Ernie.

Good artists notes and good camera techniques.....this is a tough one to capture, look at all those stamens in every directions. These evening shots make for excellent photography. Your focus, lighting, details, colors are all good. This is very nice work on this gorgeous SCABIOSA flower. Thanks for sharing. Happy Thanksgiving Deborah.

    LOL...Oh I know Mary Lynn....NOT one of my favorite flowers to photograph. Those little stamens are mostly translucent as well....trying to get them all basically standing still at the same time and keeping track of everything else in the frame is an exercise in frustration...lol but good practice for me. Thank you so much for being so kind w/ your review. You have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow too.

you have always such an interesting and unusual flower collection;
excellent framing, focus maybe a tad too soft; nice colors:

    Why thank you sg. Fortunately I've made my gardens large enough that I can always find room for a unusual blossom that catches my interest. ...and agree I may not have been in tip top form w/ this guy. Was concentrating on the almost translucent stamens which always give me a hard time. Anyway, do appreciate you having a look. Thank you so much.

Very informative & interesting notes.

Superb capture--up close & very personal!

Subdued illumination.

Thanks so mch!

A beautiful flower and an equally fine photograph. The detail in the white crown and stamens is excellent and I love the intensity of the blue petals. The tight framing is great and I like the hint of leaves in the dark background.
