A bit of an unusual treatment. The colors are strange but the dragonflies really stand out nicely. Very good composition with a fine reflection. Best of luck in the contest.

This is an interesting shot. I think that playing around with the colors has worked for you on this picture. Love the composition of the white branch as it frames the dragonflies perfectly. The detail and the reflections are done well. Thanks for sharing.

I think I've been on here for about 3 months. I did sign up a year ago, but didn't do anything with it. Do check out my portfolio. Karen

Impressive mixed media rendition.

Cute subjects against modified bluish pond making them standout despite their minute size in relation to the frame.

Thanks for sharing...

Nice capture. The angle of the shot of this dragonfly swooping around the wire is great. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall.

Thanks MK. BTW - it wasn't a wire , it was a branch till I blew the hell out of the color.

Yes, it looks a little strange, but good!Like your composition in which the branches and the reflections lead the eye through the photo. Sharpness and exposure are good. Well done and good luck!

Well, your experiment paid off. Instead of having the green film that one often sees on a pond, it now looks like the sky reflecting in clear water. The dragonflies are clearly visible and the twig reflections add interest.

    Thanks for your encouragement.

if the insects are the main subject, they should be seen better, like this the bright and huge branch pulls my eyes to it making it difficult to see the insect

good luck with the contest and thanks for sharing

Great composition this.
I love the colors. The contrasting white branches and blue works really well.
The reflections make a unique geometric pattern actually.
This would be great a posterized, silk screen actually.
The two dragonflies balance it out nicely.
Well done.
