A beautiful scene. This reminds me of the Smokey Mountain forests near my home. Fall colored leaves and the exposed rocks makes for such a natural scene. I love walking in these kind of woods. Well done and thank you so much for your post ~ Steve

A lovely shot taken from a nice POV that looks across the central boulder in the ground, with great clarity and good long DOF that shows the depth of the forest as far as you can see, with great detail and a wonderful array of vivid autumnal colours adorning the whole area, with the moss and patina showing nicely on the ancient boulders scattered around the piece - great composition and best of luck in the competition! :)

I love nature especially the Fall season. I love how you captured the moss on the rocks. The composition is great as well. I like the tilt you put on the photo.

Very pretty and peaceful fall scene. Just a nice relaxing walk in the woods. I like the low angle you shot from drawing the eye up through the rocks to the lovely trees. Well done and a joy to look at.

Good Morning

The colors here are just beautiful. I live in Southern California and we don't have much of a fall season. It you want fall colors it is at least two hours out of town to the mountains. So I really appreciate this image.

I would probably have given up a little of the rock in the foreground for more of the trees above but that is just me.
Thank you for sharing this one. I do like it a lot.

Beautifully shot image. It really pulls the viewer into the frame. The composition is a glorious fall scene. I can smell the loam from here and feel the cold snap in the air.
The trees make interesting forms that almost resemble a doorway of sorts or the fae about to become visible.
Great shot!

Such wonderful power over the frame in so many ways. Angle to the shot is just perfection. I love the vibrant natural color as well and the lighting is just fabulous. I've been seeing so many wonderful breaths of fresh air today. Just wonderful. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest!

Love the contrast of the boulders to the autumn leaves.Well composed shot looking upwards to the trees above, soft light brings out the details in what must be huge rocks left by the glaciers. Definitely someplace I would love to go and photograph.

Wow! Excellent initial impact. Such rich colors and textures and shapes. Great contrast between the bold lines of the trees to the smooth roundness of the boulders. I love the angle at which you took this and with just enough light still filtering through the trees to add a little drama. Fabulous.
