I like this kind of old fashioned landscape art. This has a traditional style and is appealing. The light in the sky is brought out nicely. Thank you for sharing.

I found the sky in India so different to the British skies, it was always a sort of bright, light blue- and did not seem to have the grey which we get. However,our skies are water laden from the Atlantic, which the clouds then has to drop to climb, Ireland had rain every day of the year, they say, much of India is far from the ocean. Can't say I saw any mauve skies myself, it seemed as though it turned from black to bright blue in one step..

Thanks very much for the lovely and informative comments. I always take some artistic liberty in my paintings and hence you will fine 'not so natural' colours:) Just try to bring in some kind of novelty to mundane scenes!

Just magnificent. That soft multiple blue, purple, grey, green and white sky overlaid with the rough forest just above the wild tumbled rocky land again overlaid with a little more green foliage. This picture has inspired me to do another series of paintings of a section in New Mexico around the Elephant Butte Lake area. Reasons for my six star vote. Going to work now.

Just magnificent. That soft multiple blue, purple, grey, green and white sky overlaid with the rough forest just above the wild tumbled rocky land again overlaid with a little more green foliage.
