A very cute looking Christmas crib. You have composed the scene well. The framing is good. The colours, light and shadows and the overall presentation is first class. Good luck in the contest!

A nice and slightly alternative nativity scene here Susan - it reminds me of chocolate figurines to be honest (especially the Llama!!) but really set against a backdrop of this lovely little French town behind, with a great old fashioned tapestry/patchwork effect standing out brilliantly in contrast to the characters. A nice border surrounds the piece and a well arranged scene; great work, well done :)

    Ed,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on my Crib..I bought the figures in St Omer in northern France, they were made on Peru, which explains why there is a Llama & no donkey & why one of the "Wise Men/Magi" is holding a Red Macaw, i can't make out what the other two are holding.

Haha It's often fascinating seeing other culture's take on things and their interpretation of it isn't it :)

So cute. The angle of the shot of this nativity scene is great. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Ethnic appeal.
Tribal concept.
Exotic presentation.

Cute nativity scen...
Dichromatic set with an apt backdrop in a diminishing perspective & vanishing viewpoint.

Thanks!
Good luck!

Your nice festive image presented here certainly does a good job of getting us into Christmas. Like the contrast between the bright figures and the darker background. Well done and good luck!

The picture behind is a photo I took of la Bollene Visubie, in les Alpes Maritime above Nice & had printed on Canvas, I felt it was a good background for the Crib.

    Sandy,
Thanks a million for your complementary review.
I bought the Crib figures in St Omer in norther France..they come from Peru, I was attracted to it because of the shepherd holding a red Macaw & the Llama instead of a Donkey...which I suppose would be the similar beast of burden in Peru.
The Photo behind is one of mine that I got printed on Canvas.

Nice entry for the contest. You have framed and photographed this manger scene very nicely. I like the painted backdrop as it catches your eye. The lighting is even and the focus is clear. Nice work, Susan.

    Karen,
Thanks a million for your complementary review. The backdrop is a photo of mine printed on canvas of a village in les Alpes Maritime above Nice, in the south of France.
