this is a lovely shot susan,
the trees stand out with their feathery branches against the deep blue with just enough light to see the town and many twinkling lights, very good low light
photography, and framed
perfectly. a pleasure to view.

This is a stunning nigh photograph that is a pleasure to view.
I like the composition, the evening colours and those little dots of light telling us there is a great city there.
Well done!

This is lovely Susan! I love this time of the evening when the sky is a lovely shade of blue and the city lights are being turned on. The silhouettes of the trees in the foreground are impressive.

Very nice notes attached to this pretty night scene. The trees are silhouetted nicely against the blue sky at dusk. The lights from the town are twinkling and interesting to view. Just an overall great photo.

The colors in this image are super nice. The lights do have an attractive sparkle and emphasize the distance well. I like how your background and foreground share the focal point in this scene.

Ah, Dublin that fair city that me and my wife have visited a number of times during the last 25 years! Your lovely, evocative composition offers us a quite tantalising look at that fine city. Exposure and sharpness are good. A fine and haunting image!

I think this must be your favorite view point, and I also think you picked a good time of the day to take this photo, because we can see so well the lights from the town in the distance. This is for sure the blue hour.

The silhouetted trees in the foreground are standing out sharp and well defined against the sky, and I think your exposure is spot on.

The slight cropping is working well and it is a very good balance in the composition. I think this is a lovely and well taken photo Susan, and with an excellent DOF.

    Annie,
Thanks a million for your very complementary review which is much appreciated.
It is one of my favorite views over the city & only 15 minutes in the car to get there
There are many other beautiful places in Ireland that I hope to visit this year as I will not be going overseas.

Love the blues surrounding the trees. I did see some faint city lights but no towers. I do not know what I am looking for, so, maybe missed it for that reason. To me this is a contract between the blue of the sky and the darkness of the trees and land. Nicely done. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

    Pamela,
Thanks a million for your great review on twinkling lights over Dublin. The Towers/ Chimneys are hard to see ...i know exactly where they are so it was easy for me to find them.
