It is the great perspective and the fine leading lines doing this photo more than anything, and the rails are just pulling the viewer into the composition. The look endless the way you have taken this photo.

Your focus is sharp with fine details, and also the exposure is very good. I also appreciate the nice and natural colors.

The format you have cropped this photo into works so well and it is a fine balance in the composition. A truly striking and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF.

Excellent diminishing view of these tracks. Taken from a moving train the clarity of this photo is extremely good. The center is slightly off focus but does not take away from the photo. Fantastic capture.

Very nice! The long, never ending view is great and the colors have a rich saturation that is attractive. I like how visual effect of motion caused by the blur in the foreground. It almost creates an optical illusion!

I don't think i will ever tire of seeing the leading lines of railroad tracks when they are well captured. You have done that here. Your colors are in sync throughout your scene..with the greens only proving a bit of an edge and a background for your sepia colored tracks. Your horizon is just large enough and placed just a bit to the left..not dead center. That I like! Well done! A good shot for your to remember your travels..yes?

This has great initial impact. There is something magical about empty tracks. You wonder when the next train is coming and where it is going. The tracks are powerful as they vanish into the distance. Nicely framed and good lighting throughout.

Speaking of trains, I'm listening to Pandora right now and along comes Johnny Cash with "I hear the train a comin...." - serendipity. Thanks for the wonderful review Karen.

That's "really cool" indeed,Chuck!
Your photo showing us the view from the back step of the 'Tail End Charlie' car presents us with a Classic 'vanishing point' type of picture!
And I'm 'diggin' the look of the modern rail ties!
'Good Show',buddy! : D

Yeah, they must have redone that track recently. Wonder when they'll get to the other one? Thanks for the awesome review Sean

Wow! Super shot. An excellen example of the perspective views I studied in my engineering drawing classes. The rails tracks appear to merge into infinity. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

Great leading lines and nice shoot from a movingly train. You did a fine job with you ur POV giving a nice vanishing Perspective.
I would have used a very high shutter speed to get the tracks in the foreground sharply focused.
The blur does show movement so maybe that is the look you wanted.
Great Capture Chuck!
