Mesmerizing it IS Chuck. I used to be mesmerized by the overhead els in NY as a kid so I completely understand whatt you were doing here.
Tracks are crisp...except for the first few there....background foliage up ahead suitably softened. Nice natural color and spot on w/ exposure.
Have fun at your 4th of July get together??

July 4th was a blast, even though on was on the 3rd ;-) Thanks for the great review Deb. Was looking to show the speed factor so I left the first few a little OOF.

Very nice capture, You can see the motion as you were on a train, and still has nice clarity too it also..It's very mysterious, how many trains have taken these tracks..I used to walk the tracks back home when I was young..Great Job..

wow nice depth of field In this photograph the eye is really pulled along and into the picture by the train lines
the vertical framing really helps to draw the viewer in.
well done.

Yes, you certainly bagged a great perspective shot there! Your composition is spot on for providing a dramatic scene. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely done!

Chuck,
A beautiful picture of the rail track disappearing behind your train into the point of infinity on the horizon the sand under the traces makes them stand out clearly while the track in the opposite direction seems to blend into the earth under it. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

a very good capture of these railway tracks taken from a moving train, hence the slight blured focus;
appropriate central framing;
