An interesting picture of the snow clogged river framed by the lace like branches of the bare trees in the foreground that also frame the buildings on the far bank. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

I can see the concern by those trees being in the ice jam instead of on the river banks. This is a pretty photograph of a potential disaster. I rather like the sparse look of the trees locked in the ice flow and at the same time wish it were of the trees on the bank overlooking the ice flow. Hope the best for you. Reasons for my five star vote.

BRR! Love the way you were able to capture the results of the snow and ice. I feel as though the area is recovering from one storm and taking a deep breath before it braces for another one. Marvelous work. Thank you for sharing.

We often have the same problem w/ the river here Mary Eileen.
Spot on w/ exposure....and really nice focus- even the buildings on the far bank fairly crisp.....and all that ice. Amazing, isn't it!
