I really have to get to Alaska some day. What a beautiful shot. You show a great eye to catch something so compelling at the side of the road. Your composition with the road on the left and the beautiful frozen water on the right is so lovely. Thanks for sharing another piece of your beautiful state with us.

a great capture here pat,
good white balance to capture the blue tinge in the ice, it does look so cold
there but the ice formation looks beautiful, good focus and clarity and well framed.

Wow,this has the look of a fine art print,love the even soft light created by the fog. The blue ice is beautiful;I also have a frozen waterfall shot with the blue coloration.This is well composed,full of great textures and details, nicely framed by trees and vegetation.It is really a stunning image,one that I would love to shoot myself-thanks for sharing this!

Frozen waterfalls can be very challenging to photograph because of the scale of them and less than ideal lighting conditions. I have tried! Your photo is truly outstanding. By including the highway, we know how large this ice is. I'm glad you explained where the color came from---we certainly don't get that here in the Midwest! Very nice composition overall.
