Wow such a great shot. The angel is perfect and so is the subject. It's so pretty to see how many times the water goes over a ledge. You must have a lot of talent and skill to capture so much beautiful in one photo. The position is nice and all the colors are wonderful. It's so easy to see all the small details like moss. Phenomenal photograph I love it

    Cass,
Thanks a million for your great review on the river Dargle at Glencree on Co. Wicklow in the mountains south of Dublin.
It can be pot luck trying to get good photos of this river depending on how much rain has been falling. When I went there in November it was little more than a trickle; this time there had been heavy rain for a few weeks so the river was in spate bringing down peat with it that gives it the pink tinge to the water.

Susan what a beautiful flowing river here, but I am really amazed by how green the rocks are. Must be an abundance of moss because it really gives this photo a lush appearance and exotic
feel to it. Excellent clarity and detail and a beautifully framed vertical view.
Wonderful nature scene.

    Marsha,
Thanks a million for your great review on the river Dargle at Glencree up in the Wicklow mountains about an half an hours drive from my house. It's in a steep sided valley at that point & gets plenty of rain....

This is an excellent capture Susan~ Your choice of perspective and framing have given your viewer a majority of the scene you were viewing, while bringing it in closer to show the beautiful nature colors and the action of the water, not only over the stones but the grass. The speed of the water has been stopped at a perfect speed to show the flow and he beautiful color...Is that the peat creating that chocolate color within the water? This is really gorgeous. Thank you for sharing the nature in your country.

    Rebecca,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on the the river Dargle at Glencree. Yes the peat is washed down in the river from the mountian above at the source.

This is lovely, Susan - the water cascading down over the rocks, looking as if it's dancing along. I like the angle you used, looking up the hill with the trees forming a frame. Very good lighting and focus. Lovely composition. Suzanne

It took a while for me to get my breath before I could start my comment. This picture is so beautiful and breathtaking. This is my idea of natural beauty, so irregular, unrefined, the crooked zigzagging of the rocks and waterfall fringed by the greenery. Wonderful.

    Pat,
Thanks a million for your review & kind words. I was lucky the river was in spate, last November after a few weeks of little rain it was little more than a trickle & not worth taking pictures of.
