This is so very beautiful! To me it looks like a painting! I love the colors with the different shades of green displayed throughout. The depth and dimension is so very well framed. i can almost hear the water cascading through the rocks. Very well done!

    Monica,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on the river Dargle at Glencree. The colour in the water is due to the peat moss it has suspended in it brought down from the source in the mountain above.

A closer view of this magnificent river. This photo comes to life with the water dancing over the rocks. Lighting is beautiful reflecting off the water. A great one to paint. Breathtaking! Thank you for sharing!

Literally a cool capture!
Excellent choice of subject in Vanishing viewpoint.
Refreshing image.
Verdant overtone!

Diminishing perspective.
Long dof.

Subdued lighting.
Ideal framing.

Thanks for sharing...

A very nice gurgling landscape presented here! Your fine central composition of the river draws our eyes down and through the photo. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely done! Just wondering what a German cemetery is doing there?

    Nik,
Thanks a million for your great review on the River Dargle at Glencree.
The German Military cemetery contains the remains of mainly German Prisoners of War in both world Wars that were imprisoned in the Curragh Camp in Co. Kildare. Others that were being transported to be Interned in Canada & their ship was torpedoed off Northern Ireland by the Germans & a German spy who took his own life for fear of being sent back to Eastern Germany after the war...If you Google German Military Cemetery Glenree Co. Wicklow you will get the whole story. It's a beautiful & peaceful place tucked away from Prying eyes & people who at the time might have wanted to blow it up.

Wow!!! Super pretty shot. I like the orange, pink and purple tones in the slow motion water coming down the hillside. The mossy rocks are focused well with plenty of details. Very well composed photograph that is a pleasure to view and look at. Nice work, Susan.

A lovely image here Susan, showing the natural flow of this small but energised flow of water running downstream past the mass of rocks, long turned green from the flow of the water and minerals and conditions here, which contrast beautifully with the light white water, seen clearly with long DOF and sharp clarity right to the back of the photo. The upper foliage and greenery gives good perspective and an idea of gradient, combined with your straight up POV. Nice natural and subdued lighting shows the scene in all it's glory and full flow (excuse the pun!), a lovely piece, well done. :)

P.S I have a picture similar but nowhere near as good as this one, I'll email you and explain :)

    Ed,
Thanks a million for your complementary review of this picture of the Dargle on spate, just as the sun was beginning to set at 5pm.
The last time I went up there it was little more than a trickle & not worth taken pictures.
Also the conditions for taking pictures are better when it's overcast & getting dark as the sunshine gives too many burnt out patches that confuse my Auto settings.

Nice and relaxing scene. Image is a bit blurred. Maybe the FAR Uploader got you? What a pretty mossy scene. I must like moss because I live redwood forests which have lots of moss. Nice composition and framing. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

a much better view of this river with all the small waterfalls; taken at a low shutter speed giving a nice silky effect;
