A beautiful flower in a very fine looking setting. The flat lighting gives you sharp shadowless details in both the petals and the raindrops as well as beautiful saturated colors.

I can't think of anything that is more evocative and eye catching than the bright bold color of a flower fresh from a rain shower.
Interesting subject matter, well captured with excellent camera technique.
Good central placement of subject in frame.
The DOF is well focused on the flower and the rain drops. Focus drops off the further back you go, this makes for a good gentle bokeh.

Great color and composition. The vey busy background is distracting and I think the picture would have a lot more impact if the background was more blurred or darkened. I like the dew.

Irises like this one grow wild around the ponds and swamps down here too,my friend,and I'm really enjoying your eye catchingly colorful presentation of this rain dampened Alaskan specimen!
