this is so cute and even if you weren't aware of this, you have almost an illusion that there is only one bird in front of a mirror. that what I thought it was at first. Thats what caught my attention. Still a beautiful bird and nice photo. thanks for sharing

Yay! A fantastic shot of these two Robins you have been keeping a close eye on, captured with great clarity and very much together, comfortably, reassuring us you aren't going mad haha. Sharp clarity and long DOF shows good detail on the birds and also the surroundings in good focus. The framing and light vignette works well in this nicely composed and captured shot, well done :)

    Ed,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this cheeky pair of Robin. This Morning they were down on the deck much closer but as there were reflections on the glass I could not take any pictures. One of them turned it's head towards me before sticking it's beak in the air & flying up to the feeder.

I love robins. These are absolutely beautiful. You are so lucky to have them near you and able to photograph them. I can see that they are well fed, which is probably why they keep coming back to you. Thanks for sharing this photo.

A lovely capture of the two robin's together having breakfast, I like the framing with the white vignette which draws the eye to the two sweet robin's. Lovely.

I rather like the nice complexity of this simple scene with two birds. The color faded background and surround enhance the coloration of the subject birds. A really nice homey little scene very pleasant to look at. Reasons for my five star vote.

    Carl,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this grabbed shot through the patio door, the best of six shots that I had no time to fiddle with settings it was just point & shoot or miss the shot.

Nice job getting the two together. They have such a cute shape to their bodies and the colors are highly saturated in this shot which makes them stand apart from the rest of the image.

    Grace,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this pair of Robins on the bird table together an unusual sight so early in the season. Normally Robins will chase out any other Robin that comes into their territory (both male & females hold territories outside the breeding season) this pair are an exception seeming to be together since last spring. (One will feed from my caged feeder & the other won't or can't manage to work out, how to get in & out of it preferring to eat the fat balls , meal worms scattered on the ground or in a dish on the table as in this picture.

You have certainly created a nice respite for the birds in your yard. This is a different robin than I am used to seeing. The birds are not as sharp as I think they could have been and I think the white vignette is a little to strong, but I like the basic image.

Hi Susan, love your capture of the 2 little robins together on the bird table. What a fabulous shot. thanks for your notes telling their story. Your photo is perfectly balanced and the angle used shows the robins' beautiful markings on their heads and extending under their breasts. They appear to be looking each other in the eye. I can almost imagine what they are saying by the body language. Exposure and lighting are great. Brings out their details around their wings and defines the feathers nicely. Such pretty little feathered friends you have in your garden. Love the background setting with the feeders and the shrubs, all lightly blurred to put more emphasis on the birds. well done.. What a great set up in your garden. No wonder these two little lovers keep coming back year after year. The foliage in the background gives a good feeling of distance and depth of field in the photo. Thanks for sharing your sweet robins and their story. they are little stunners and a joy to review. cheers mel
