An outstanding shot. The lighting is superb and shows both the colors and the detail in the bud very well. A tightly framed shot that is very eye catching.

This is an excellent shot .. the focus and exposure area perfect.. zooming in to show the fine furry casing that encases that stunning bloom to be. The lighting is spot on.. and the clarity is sharp.. What vibrant colours, set upon the black background. most appealing to the eye. The angle used is brilliant. It shows the emerging flower petals in all their glory, as it prepares to come into the world. They must look stunning in your garden Deborah, once they are in full bloom, boasting their amazing colour amongst the foliage scattered around your garden beds. Haven't grown poppies for years. You have inspired me to include them. Thanks for sharing this grand photo. excellent in every way. a joy to review. cheers mel

Such an easy to grown, hardy blossom Melyuki. Wish they lasted a little longer but I do like that they blossom a second time in my gardens. Have you ever grown the Icelandic variety? THOSE are really pretty too. Anyway, do appreciate the thorough review Mel....so nice when a reviewer takes time to have a really good look. Thank you so much.

Took two of this particular guy that evening John.....but he had a bunch of neighbors I photographed as well. Love them at this stage when the casing just splits open....it's like a Christmas present unwrapping itself....lol So glad you enjoy the notes. Thank you for that....AND for the really fine review and shiny gold star. Do so appreciate both.
